Marquita,
Your input over the span of SSO has been invaluable, and as we archive the site, your thoughts and opinions will be accessible for years to come. All though this is a big change for SSO, it is not the end. I just wanted to thank you personally for everything you have done to make SSO what it is now.
By the way, I like how you're challenging other students. I want to name some student moderators to the site to do just that. Do you have ideas for who would be good? It's paid (small stipend per month).
Did you see the MN students' reaction to the advisory time idea? It's in the main forums (not in the group). I think it's interesting that there are different ideas about the time for advisory. I think Nora's reaction is interesting -- I think it all depends on the quality use of advisory time, which is why the meetings you guys are having with teachers in training are so important! Teacher training mayber should include how to effectively use advisory for improving school culture...And I think you all have defined well how to do that.
If you and anyone else in your group want to join the MN site to discuss
Marquita, i'm sure you've noticed or have been told that MPS put a filter on SSO, not allowing it in schools. Today that filter was lifted, but only temporarily. I started a discussion in the forum about it and I would love it if you'd offer your opinions. Thanks so much.
Hey, I just read a couple of posts you made in a group. I'm interested in this stillpoint advisory thing. I had a similar thing in my high school but students didn't really like it. Do you think we could take this conversation to the forum and get everyone involved?
