Tell us a little about yourself.
Though I live in Madison now, I was born and raised just outside of Boston and I am a huge Red Sox and Patriots fan and have been since I was very young.

I also have a weakness for pop culture...
Why are you interested in Students Speak Out?
I was always very unhappy when I was in high school because I thought no one cared about me, or listened to what I had to say. SSO gives students the chance to change things, the chance to be heard...something that would have made a huge difference in my high school experience, so I want to try to bring it to others who can take advantage of it.

DO YOU THINK THAT STUDENTS WHO COME FROM DYSFUNCTIONAL FAMILIES ARE DESTINED TO HAVE A DYSFUNCTIONAL LIFE.

Thank you for inviting me to be your friend. I see De Valla this week and will make sure she knows how to get ahold of the cameras. Today I line up the first two student-driven, adult facilitated workshops: Transition and Milwaukee Montessori International Baccalaureate.

Very interesting to be able to dialogue with your dad. That opportunity shows me a little bit about the power of these social networks.

Hope we can Pine Cone next week.

I am going to ask Tony to play a role in the next workshop that CHS students run for four other students from Work Institute, one of the other schools in the Sarah Scott complex.

Take a look at the Transition High School Group. I will invite you to be a member if you want.

Of the first 76 members, we have 40 students. It think with can have 100 members and more than 50 students by the end of the first month of operations, if you id our beginning as the day of the first workshop.

Now I have to worry about managing the explosion....Word from Karen Ambrosh is that students can log in directly from the MPS portal now.

Sarah: The compilation video looks just fantastic in the middle of the home page. Your work is splendid! I don't think bureaucrats are going to be able to stop this thing, because no barrier will hold against the energy and spirit of the students who get this!

How did your visit go this week?

i think that the videos were great and that it lets people out there know what other students have to say and that alot of the students think the same way. so it lets other students think that their not the only one out there that thinks that way.

Sarah Granofsky:
I attend W.E.B. DuBois High School and I heard about SSO in my Multi Media Dseign class from my teacher. She ask me to check it out and let her know my feelings about the site. I have looked at some of the videos and it sit looks really interesting. I think that this web site is a good way to have students like myself, voice their oppinions and also to have teachers, and administrators to hear what we have to say .And also put their thoughts on the subject. That way the students, teachers, and administrators can have a calm disscusion and not have a heated debates on issues.
